Planning Committees

The Municipality has two Planning Committees to assist Council with planning matters.

  1. Planning Advisory Committee (PAC)
  2. Committee of Adjustment (C of A)

1. Planning Advisory Committee

The Planning Advisory Committee is a Committee established by Council.  The Planning Advisory Committee is a committee composed of volunteers and councillors to hear applications, hold public meetings to hear input from the public and make recommendations to Council regarding Official Plan Amendments, Zoning By-law Amendments and any other land use matter. They meet the third Wednesday of every month at the Corbeil Park Hall beginning at 7:30 pm.  Scroll down for current applications, agendas and minutes.

2. Committee of Adjustment

The Committee of Adjustment is an independent Committee appointed by Council to make decisions on minor variances (minor changes) to the Zoning By-law.  Decisions regarding Minor Variances are based on four tests according to the Ontario Planning Act. The four tests are:

 1. Is the proposal minor in nature?
 2. Is the proposal meeting the general purpose and intent of the Official Plan?
 3. Is the proposal meeting the general purpose and intent of the Zoning By-law?
 4. Is the proposal desirable?

The Committee meets as required the third Wednesday of every month at the Corbeil Park Hall beginning at 7:00 pm. Scroll down for current applications, agendas and minutes.
