Bill Vrebosch - Mayor

A personal message from the Mayor

Welcome to East Ferris...

As the Mayor, Reeve and Deputy Reeve of East Ferris since 1978, I have been fortunate to have observed the evolution of our township from a mainly rural setting, to a semi-urban community. East Ferris includes the two hamlets of Astorville and Corbeil. Even with the population growth and expansion, we have been able to retain our "country" and "neighborliness" atmosphere.

East Ferris is a great place to live, visit, or start a business. Our bilingual history and traditions are alive and well throughout the year at events such as our parish picnics, our winter carnival, and the many social events.

This website will become a storehouse of information for residents and visitors alike and will develop a vital link between you and our different entities such as social groups and our own municipal council. News is difficult to disseminate in rural areas, so this site should fill a vital communication gap.

Regular council meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of every month. They are held in Corbeil at the Corbeil Park Hall starting at 7:30 P.M. Our Municipal Office is open daily, Monday to Friday from 8:30 A.M. until 4:30 P.M.

My wife Gisele (Gravelle) was born and raised in Corbeil. We have raised our four children in East Ferris and are very proud of our strong community involvement over the 30 years we have been married.

It has been a pleasure for me to have represented East Ferris during the last 23 years.

...Bill Vrebosch, Mayor
