The East Ferris Official Plan was first adopted by Council on September 8, 2015. On April 25, 2016 partial approval was given by the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing with certain sections withheld. The ministry sometimes withholds sections from approval when additional consultation or work is required to come to a final decision. In this case, our withheld sections related primarily to our Lake Nosbonsing and Trout Lake policies within the plan.

We are very happy to announce that on January 12, 2023 final approval of the East Ferris Official Plan was given by the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing! Council, staff and residents have been eagerly awaiting this decision and we are pleased to be able to provide the following updated planning documents that reflect the Ministry required amendments and changes.
