East Ferris has a diverse mix of businesses that fall into a variety of sectors. With reduced overhead costs compared to that of urban centres, many of East Ferris’ businesses are able to offer competitive prices, diverse products, and attract customers on a global level. The Municipality is dedicated to helping support a healthy business environment that attracts new businesses and responds to the needs of the current business community.
The municipality has updated our Economic Development Strategy in 2022 and is looking towards the implementation of key goals in the plan over a 5 year implementation period. This strategy analyzes our existing strengths and weaknesses in different sectors as well as provides an overview of opportunities to build on. The opportunities represent tangible goals related to Infrastructure and Telecommunications, Business Support Services, Communications, Transportation, and Development Opportunities.
