Become a Volunteer Firefighter

East Ferris has a dedicated group of volunteer firefighters that is committed to providing fire education, prevention, enforcement and supression services as well as responding to medical calls and motor vehicle incidents.  Volunteer firefighters play an important role in keeping the community safe from fire and other hazards. Volunteer firefighting is a great way to learn valuable skills and give back to your community.  Being a volunteer firefighter can be both rewarding and challenging, requiring you to dedicate personal time for training and to respond to emergency calls.

The East Ferris Fire Department is recruiting male and female volunteer firefighters.  Volunteers are required to be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid G driver's licence or higher in Ontario. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer firefighter, please submit a completed New Recruits Application to the East Ferris Fire Chief by email or delivered to the Municipal Office.
