The initiation of the East Ferris Winter Carnival and the construction of the Community Centre over the past 55 years began as a result of the dedication of the community’s founding families.  In recognition of their contributions, family representatives participated in a fun, interactive process at the 2019 Winter Carnival to choose a room at the Community Centre that bears their family name plaque.
