Budget

The Municipality is responsible for managing and investing your tax dollars to meet the needs of the community.

Each year, Council approves a balanced budget that is split into two areas: operating and capital.

  • Operating - The Municipality's operating budget covers day-to-day spending on services such as recreation, parks maintenance, landfill site, roads, garbage and recycling collection, administration, policing and fire services.
  • Capital - The Municipality’s capital budget funds the cost of purchase, construction, repair and renewal of municipal assets such as roads, bridges, culverts, equipment, facilities, and recreational amenities.
