Road Maintenance
The Municipality of East Ferris follows the Minimum Maintenance Standards for road maintenance. The municipality does not maintain private roads. To determine whether you reside on a municipally maintained road or a private road, a green road sign indicates a municipally maintained road and a blue road sign indicates a private road. During the winter months, vehicles are not to be parked over night within municipal road allowances and snow cannot be pushed from private properties onto municipal roads or road shoulders.
Maintenance of Highways 17 & 94
Highways 17 and 94 are under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Transportation (MTO) and are maintained by the Ministry or their designated contractor.
All road and road maintenance inquiries related to Highways 17 & 94 should be directed to the MTO's designated contractor.
